RCA Comment on V.6 and V.7 Comprehensive Plan Draft (UPDATED WITH V.8 COMMENTS)

UPDATE (10/7/13): This post has been updated with the latest version of RCA's comments, which includes Version 8 of the Comprehensive Plan. The subjects covered in our latest comments include walkability, design review, and RA membership fro new development. We have also included a new attachment endorsing the application of LEED "green neighborhood" building practices to new development, as suggested by Task Force member John Carter.

On Monday, RCA submitted comments on Versions 6 and 7 of the Comprehensive Plan draft prepared by the Department of Planning and Zoning.  Our comments note several areas where we feel the plan is improving, as well as issues on which the plan still requires improvement.  Our comments touch on issues including connectivity, parks and recreation, transportation, parking, flexibility, density, and mix of uses. We also included an extended commentary with proposed language to add to the plan on public transportation.

Our full comments can be seen below.
